Community Liaison Project
Wendy Angus-Bovell, District Director for Cannock Chase Social Care & Health, presented the new “Staffordshire Cares” whole system model for social care in Staffordshire and launched the new Community Liaison Project at the 13th AGM of Chase CVS, on 20th November 2009.
The project formed in partnership by Chase CVS and Staffordshire Social Care and Health is currently being piloted in the Chadsmoor area.
Its aim is to work with voluntary and community groups who provide, or would like to provide a service for people in need of support.
Community Liaison Officer, Caroline Bradford, who has been appointed to work on this project delivered a brief introduction to her role; she will help existing and new voluntary and community sector groups by assisting with promotion, membership, signposting, training and networking.
The initial focus will be to set up a network of organisations that provide services in the Chadsmoor area and to raise awareness of what they do.
