Chase CVS is delighted to welcome the latest new recruits to the Home Comforts Team, pictured on the left are: (Back Row from Left to Right)
Chris Carter – Administrative Assistant to Project Manager;
Elle Litchfield – Administrative Assistant to Volunteer Co-ordinator;
James Aston – Website and Catalogue Maintenance Worker; (Front Row) Sam Ingram – Home Fire Risk Check Marketing Worker. Two further posts are available and the interview process is currently in progress.
The positions have been made possible through the “Future Jobs Fund” by working in partnership with Cannock Chase Council, South Staffordshire College and Business Enterprise Support to create work opportunities for dozens of unemployed young people in the district. The partnership has been vital to ensure that all positions are created at the same time.
An open day was held at the Council’s Civic Centre in Cannock on Wednesday 9th December, where a number of young people were invited to find out more about the positions on offer. The project will give valuable work experience through the participating partners for a period of up to six months in ‘trainee placement’ positions for 18 to 24 year olds.
Trainee positions have been created as follows: Cannock Chase Council (33); Chase CVS (6); South Staffordshire College (6) and Business Enterprise Support (2). All the young people will have a mentor and will receive an additional training programme agreed with South Staffordshire College.
