Connecting Communities

Supporting Resident Champions in Etching Hill, Slitting Mill and Springfields

• Are you a resident of Etching Hill, Slitting Mill or Springfields?
• Would you like to influence the decisions that affect you?
• Do you want to get involved in the local community?
• Would you like to become a Resident Champion?


We are looking for ten local residents to become Resident Champions.

As a Resident Champion they would need to find out what people like or dislike about what’s going on in their local community; what they would like to change and ideas on how those changes could be made.

A 14 week course for the Resident Champions will be provided which will involve choosing an interest, developing a community project or event and evaluating the process. Ongoing support will be provided during and after the course so that the Resident Champions can make a real difference in your community.
