Home Comforts
Re-housing of donated goods to people in need.
Home Comforts is a furniture re-use project covering the Cannock Chase District (Cannock and Rugeley) and parts of the Lichfield District (particularly the wards of Burntwood, Chase Town, Chase Terrace and Armitage with Handsacre)The project will:
- Collect donated items of household furniture and accessories suitable for reuse from members of the local community, creating a cleaner environment and diverting waste from landfill sites.
- Provide a choice of items to members of the community who are experiencing difficulties such as those on a low income; homelessness; fleeing domestic violence etc. at low cost.
- The project also offers Volunteering Opportunities to members of the community wishing to increase their skills in a range of differing roles which include:
Warehousing; Administration; Collection/Delivery; Stock Control; Customer Service
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
The unit is open between 10.00am and 3.00pm Friday to Tuesday each week (including weekends and Bank Holidays)
